The experience requires various sub-groups to operate independently, following task directions,make observations and decisions on what they deem to be the best alternative, and then the experience is complete, (the Race has been won), assess the various alternatives that all the groups used, attach values as a group to the numerous and varied perceptions, and when it comes to an end, discover that everyone is a winner. Group effectiveness and experience the Amazing gRace is designed to expose a group of individuals to safely experience the wonders of Soweto culture. The group will be required to: Those who have participated in our races to-date have expressed various emotions, but all concur that the experience resulted in a mindset change that will impact on them for years to come.

THINK, TOUCH, FEEL, TASTE & REACT Accordingly
Following the debriefing session we will be in the position to analyse the groups experience and give the necessary direction to ensure that we all benefit from the positive mindset results. Objectives: Amazing gRace guarantees that the race will result in an experience, development and a positive change of mindset, to the benefit of all participants. RULES: The race is designed to accommodate a minimum of ten teams, 4 persons per team, with each oarticipant allocated a control function. The Race takes place in an unfamiliar safe environment, sections of Soweto, where the teams will be given instructions o progress from one task to the another. The teams will compete over a period of two days with the final debriefing takeing place on the thrid morning. (For tour groups the race can be extended to include extra days and places of interest outside Soweto). The team completing the defined transit routes the quickest will win the Amazing Race. During the debriefing session, each team will nominate a spokesperson who will represent the team. Ten teams will then vote on various aspects experienced by all the participants and points will be allocated by the participants towards establishing the eventual Amazing gRace winner. (Points are also accumulated by choice of travel routes plus the cost, or lack thereof during the race). AIM: The focus by the individuals and the team is to ensure that they experience the journey; it is their understanding of the journey that will count at the debriefing, not only how quickly they completed the race, but how they ran the race. Corporate benefits: A group of peers will share an amazing experience, design to permit individuals to introduce their own strengths that may not be apparent to their management. The debriefing is designed to make the individuals aware of their on contribution to the group's achievement and give direction to their future positive development. A video tape of the debriefing session, with the relevant comments by our Industrial Psychologist, will be an invaluable tool for management's development and utilization of the participants. The corporate/company will have a direct advertising and marketing opportunities over a period of two days into a very receptive market place. The corporate/company via the participant will be exposed to the potential development of their facilities and products. The corporate/company will be contributing directly to the development and empowering of various sectors of the Soweto community.
