During 2004 we built our first up-market Traditional Shacks in Orlando East Soweto. Today, we still have six operational, accommodation 12 traditionally, 1 on the bed and 1 on the 'spong'. Although we have made progress and we have introduced a shower, mainly for the 'yard' community, Nettie and I will still use the plastic dish for our morning ablutions.

As part of the 'home-stay' accommodation, we have introduced the families shacks particularly where it permits us to accommodate a group within a close community.

Out favourite part of the Shack accommodation is when you open the door in the morning and you are virtually in the community walking the street, those leaving for work, and the children going to school.  It is all smiles and greetings, it starts my day off so well.
