24 Hr in Soweto; home-stay from R 255 pp sharing. PDF Print E-mail

Every visitor to South Africa should spend their first (or last) 24 hours in Soweto, it will set the vibe for the rest of your visit. See options for Traditional Shack, Home-stay, self-drive, collection and transfer, and the full-day local guidning experience.

Having spent three months on preparing the website while accommodating visitors in our Soweto Home-stay, and now following a very successful 2010 initiative, the 24 hours in Soweto concept has further developed.

My apologies to those that I have confused with my thinking but I am slowly getting to grips with what is on my mind and what you see on the website.

We will collect from most places in Johannesburg, and not just from the Airport, that thinking was aimed at you arriving and joining us in Soweto from 'day 1'.

You will be introduced to your hostess and following the brief introductions to the home-stay and familiarization's with the family and your new home, you will be left to enjoy Soweto as part of the family.

Here we need to draw your attention to the information around what you need to understand about home-stay, in order that you will be in the position to achieve the most during your experience, communication, and in particular communication initiated by the visitor is essential.

Meals are taken with the family, as eat-out venues are not always available.

Beers by the quart are cheaper than anywhere else in the world.

Excluding local mini-bus taxi, lunch, and museum fees.

Being part of a family within the Soweto community will give you an experience you will never forget. There is only love and warmth on the streets of Soweto, and Taste of Africa will assist you with any planning for the rest of your visit to South Africa.
