For seven years my wife Nettie and I have used our international tourists to meet, what we see as an essential requirement, to help empower a community that has suffered isolation and abuse through South Africa's history. We invite you to participate as a community family member.

Day 1, Night 1:
- Collection from ORT Airport by driver, and Ferry to Soweto.
- Here we enjoy the magic home-stay and "24 Hours in Soweto". This close relationship with the Soweto community will set you up for a relaxed attitude for the remainder of the trip as all negative perceptions will have been forgotten.
- As part of the 24 hours, our local guides will take you to many corners in Soweto, the must do toursit sites, Vilikazi Street, and Hector Pietersn Musem. In the community we support two initiatives, one where young children in a squatter camp is supported and another where disadvantaged adults are given skills. For those who have an interest in Traditional Healing, Cedric is an Sangoma and his 'Makosie' will gladly give you a close insight into the culture and traditions.
- Night 1; home-stay Soweto. Living with a family is part of the great experience, eating, sleepoing in thier homes and sharing the facilities will become part of how you will remember the special members of your new family.
Inclusions: Collection, meet & greet, transfer to Soweto, introduction to the family. Guide Services for the period while in Soweto, accommodation with the family, home-stay, evening meal, morning meal.

Day 2, Night 2
- We leave early in the morning and head North to visit the Capricorn Route, home to some of great Venda and Shangaan Art work, sleeping home-stay in the Mahavela Village.
- During the day we will visit the artists and crafters.
- Night 2, Home-stay in Mahavela Village, approx 60 km from the Pafuri Gate, and home to Rebecca, one of the Grand Ladies of the Venda Art and Culture.
Inclusions: Transfer and guiding through the Elim, Levubu area on the Capricorn Route. Accommodation, eveing and morning meal at the Mahavela Village.

Day 3: Night 3
- Leaving at 06:00 we continue on the Capricorn Route route heading for the Pafuri Gate, one of our greatest experiences, having lived in the country all our lives, was when we recently drove through what Nettie calls the forest of Baobab trees. To see the community living among them is fantastic. The we stop and visit the largest Baobab tree in the country, larger than the one that accommodates the 'pub'. It is not only this tree that is spectacular, but the many that we pass as we approach the tree.
- We soon enter the Kruger Park at Pafuri, the North-most gate, and after visiting 'Crooks Corner', we will have a picnic lunch at the Pafuri picnic site, a birders paradise.
- We will take a slow drive, ending the afternoon at the Punda Maria gate, at getting to our Shangaan Families by 17:00.
- Night 3, sleep home-stay with ShangaanVillage in the Mhinga Community, home to the Punda Maria Community Development Initiative. Here you need to have a look at the traditional village home-stay for a peak at water and sanitary facilities that we share.
Inclusions: Transfer, game drive from Pafuri to Punda Maria, picnic lunch, Kruger Park environment fees, accommodation, evening and morning meals.

Day 4, Night 4;
- Early morning Kruger park Drive with Kruger Park Guide and vehicle.
- Day interaction with the community, depending on school term, weather, or season, we will roll up our sleves and help.
- Night Drive with the Kruger Park guide and vehicle.
- Night 4, home-stay with ShangaanFamily.
Inclusions: Transfer, game drive from Pafuri to Punda Maria, picnic lunch, Kruger Park environment fees, accommodation, evening and morning meals.

Day 5, Night 5
- We leave very early, ready to enter Kruger Park at gate opening time, and travel to the Village outside the Orpen Gate, mid-way in the Park. Distance 300km, should take us ten hours, stopping for a picnic lunch at either Letaba or Oliphants.
- Night 5, home-stay Welverdiend Village, 10 km outside Orpen Gate, and just off Panorama Route / Kruger Park.
Inclusions: Transfer, game drive from Punda Maria to Orpen gate, picnic lunch, Kruger Park environment fees, accommodation, evening and morning meals.

Day 6 & 7, Night 6&7
- Here we have the magic of the Panorama Route, that we can do over two days, while getting close to the Community.
- Here the group sets the pace and decide on the time spent with the community, the Big 5, or the Panorama Route.
- We have provided for amorning drive on day 6, and then a sunset drive on day 6, giving us an opportunity to have an evening with the community on night 7.
- Night 6 & 7 home-stay in the community.
Inclusions: Drive through the Panaroma Route, Two game drive on day 6, Kruger Park environment fees, accommodation, evening and morning meals.

- Day 8, night 8
- We leave Orpen Gate at opening time, and head for the Kruger Park 'Crocodile Bridge' gate, and drive 175km. 7 hours, experiencing the South of the Kruger Park, having a picnic lunch enroute.
- We enter Swaziland through the Mananga Border gate.
- Late afternoon we arrive at Hlane Game Park where we visit for two nights.
- Night 8, Hlane Game Reserve, supper around the fire and traditional entertainment.
Inclusions: Drive from the Orpen Gate to the Crocodile Bridge, now having transversed from North to South, Kruger Park environment fees, accommodation in Rondavels in Hlane in relative comfort, picnic lunch, evening and morning meals.

Day 9 Night 9;
- We enjoy an early morning guided walk with the Game guide and then our next stop is SwaziSecrets, where we learn from the successful initiative and take their principles into other areas.
- Included is an early morning walk with a guide where you will get very close to Rhino.
- We return in the early afternoon for a Game Drive.
- Night 9, Hlane Game Reserve, supper around the fire.
Inclusions: Morning walk with the Hlane Guide, drive to Swazi Secrets, (optional next mornming) Drive through park in afternoon. Accommodation and meals.

Day 10, Night 10;
- We depart early morning and travel to the Zulu Village, 50 km from St, Lucia.
- Arriving mid-morning, our first stop is at the local school that we support.
- Afternoon is spent with the community.
- Home-stay Night 10, in the Zulu Village.
Inclusions: Morning walk with the Hlane Guide, drive to Swazi Secrets, (optional next mornming) Drive through park in afternoon. Accommodation and meals.

Day 11, Night 11,
- In the morning we have community interaction, and then for a picnic lunch on the beach, we will travel to St Lucia and enjoy a late afternoon sunset 'hippo / croc' cruise.
- St Lucia;
- 'Whale Watching" and Hippo and Croc Boat Tour.
- Night 11, in the Village.
- Click on Hlane and Zulu Village:
Inclusions: Drive through St Lucia, picnic lunch on the beach and a Hippo/Croc sunset curise in afternoon. Accommodation and meals.

Day 12, night 12.
- Early morning departure for Soweto, where we spend our final evening with our home-stay community if Diepkloof.
- Night 12, home-stay Soweto.
Inclusions: Transfer to Soweto, Accommodation and meals.
Exclusions: Personal affects, drinks, and preferred snacks.

Day 13,
- Chill in Soweto, dust your self off, and get ready for departure back home.
- Transfer to the Airport to arrive 2 - 3 hours before departure.

These activities and stops are flexible, a Taste of Africa will make changes till the last minute.

Return home.
